| 2 | 16.10.2023 | Scott Bailey | 7.0 | Another Raw where the quality dipped at certain points but thankfully the excellent Edge vs Randy match and the Batista vs Benoit match as well as the surprisingly entertaining Tajiri vs Granier sprint tipped this show on the good side for me. While I'm happy to see the show keep the awful Kane storyline and the Eugene stuff to a minimum this week, the diva search stuff is badly overblown and the segments was cringeworthy where the only mildly amusing thing about it was the fans booing them out of the building. The Highlight reel featuring them seems to go on forever and it ends up leading to a forgettable Jericho v Kane match. Triple H's promo to start the show got it off to a rough start with Regal kinda saving it at the end by getting some revenge. The main focus of the show (besides the stupid Diva Search) is the 60-minute Iron Man match next week and one of the best moments of the show is when Triple H has Batista come out and destroy Benoit in their match to weaken him. That was very effectively done. I thought the Edge vs Orton match to main event the show was excellent, particularly with the finishing strech. The wrestling side of the show is again really strong and the roster is excellent so why it's so bogged down by the useless Diva Search segments is beyond me. |

Triple H's opening promo was really boring until Regal came out to make things physical. All the matches here were fine, except the Benoit/Batista match which was really good stuff. Triple H bezieht Stellung wegen letzter Woche mit seiner heftigen Attacke gegen Eugene und ihm gefiel es. Zusätzlich beleidigt er ihn weiter und Bischoff belohnt ihn mit einem Titelmatch gegen Benoit nächste Woche in einem 60 Minuten Ironman Match. Regal griff Triple H an und wird danach aus der Halle befördert. Der Opener war schlecht. Rhynos neuer Partner muss sich hinlegen in einem eher verbotchten Match. Unnötiges Highlight Reel mit den zehn Finalistinnen der Diva Search. Jericho lässt die Damen nach einem Immunitätsumschlag in Bischoffs Büro suchen und als Strafe muss Jericho nun gegen Kane ran. Hurricane vs Tomko war schlecht. Klare Niederlage. Rosey ist auch wieder da. Batista vs Benoit war schlecht. Batista war das Ergebnis egal. Seine Aufgabe war lediglich Benoit zu verletzen. Kane vs Jericho war in Ordnung. Jericho hatte zwischenzeitlich das Match per Count-Out gewonnen doch Bischoff startete das Match neu als Falls Count Anywhere Match. Batista griff ein der mit Jericho immernoch was am laufen hat. Der Main-Event war in Ordnung. Edge nutzte Ortons unfaire Taktik für einen Pin damit er seinen Titel behält. Ganz solides Match. |
