The main event of Gangrel and Steven Blackman was a good short match too. The other two matches were just average, but as an overall package it was a nice little slice of Attitude Era goodness and I think it did a good job of hyping deadly games. |

Die Kämpfe sind insgesamt unspektakulär und recht kurz - auch wenn A.P.A. zum ersten Mal auftreten und auch sonst recht viel passiert - aber im Großen und Ganzen kann ich nicht mehr als 3 Punkte vergeben. |

I'm kinda surprised they were willing to have some of the wrestlers slated for matches at the PPV brawl it out, especiall the Headbangers, NAO and Mark Henry/D-Lo fighting in a concrete hallway backstage. Ends in a big brawl with all of the big names at the very end. The matches weren't all that interesting though. |

Val Venis is fun but his match lacked any luster to it, same with the next match with Gangrel, you can tell Vince Russo is writing this because it's more focused on promos and story than quality of wrestling. This is fine because it is the Heat before Survivor Series Deadly Game, I also enjoyed the ending brawl. |

Auch das zweite Match wird durch einen Eingriff von aussen entschieden, als der Godfather den albernen Tiger attackiert. Venis nutzt das zum Perfect-Plex. Danach bekriegen sich die APA und die DOA erneut, während die DX backstage von den Headbangers angegriffen wird. Das ist alles ziemlich chaotisch. Mero und Jaqueline versuchen, Sable schon vor der eigentlichen Großveranstaltung zu schwächen. Gangrel besiegt Blackman, welcher danach noch Besuch vom Blue Blazer bekommt. Zum Ende dieser reinen Hype-Episode versammeln sich alle Turnierteilnehmer zum fetten Brawl im Geviert. Ja, die Funktionalität ist da, aber mehr ist da echt nicht. |
