[4.0] "Reboot der xte und bei den Abgängen im Vorwege, nicht unter den besten Vorzeichen. Name und Aufmachung sind ok. Der Brawl zum Auftakt ebenfalls. Über das Comeback von JB habe ich gefreut. Ebenfalls sehr gut, wie man Mathews‘ Rolle mit offener und im Kern sogar richtiger Kritik kommentiert. Mathews‘ Segment-Text und Tonfall um Längen besser als sein typischer Kommentatoren-Trott. Zudem erster, ganz netter Seitenhieb gegen die WWE. Allgemein war die WWE bei dem Reboot sehr präsent. Die Konstellation am Pult ist schon mal aufgewertet, die WWE-Referenzen bei Mathews sitzen. Der lächerlich „too sweet“-Versuch mit Cody war köstlich. Anschließend geht es im Ring weiter. Debütanten Reno Scum fast mit einem Squash-Sieg und anschließend fast etwas Entwicklung bei DCC. Fast, aber gut, irgendwas muss da auch passieren. Amüsant, wie man Marias Abgang verkauft. X-Division-Match ist ok, Allie und Sutter etwas zu sehr im Mittelpunkt. Laurel sieht herrlich aus. Sienna und Debütantin Rachel Ellering sind dann etwas müde unterwegs, Matthews und JB lenken zudem etwas zu sehr ab. Bruce Pritchard auch mit unnötig vielen WWE-Referenzen. Lashley und Trump ist aber wiederum wieder eher amüsant. Albertos Debüt ist ok, aber nicht ganz rund. EC3 ist immerhin auch involviert. Codys Segment ist ok, schön zu sehen, dass Impact nun auch andere Titel präsentiert. Dutch Mantell schwimmt weiter auf der WWE-Welle, äußert sich ansonsten sehr belanglos. Leichter WWE-Overkill bis hierhin. Wenn das Benchmarking gewesen sein soll, leider verfehlt. Decay beerben die Broken Hardys. Halbwegs clever gelöst. Main Event ist dann ok. Fraglich, ob so ein Schritt direkt sein musste. Ärgerlich zudem: man beerdigt TNA und der neue World Champ erwähnt TNA dennoch nach dem Match. Das ist extrem mau. Als Auftakt insgesamt in Phasen interessant, aber langfristig muss da mehr kommen. Neugier, wie es weitergeht ist aber da."
[4.0] "Way too much talking here, they've talked a lot about the changes but we didn't see a lot of great new things. Now, about the matches, I disliked Reno scum vs DCC, I wanted DCC to win and they almost got squashed, I hope they won't continue to job because DCC really has a great potential. X division match was short but nice. Knockouts match was interesting, Ellering seems to be a good wrestler, and Sienna is getting better than she already is. Really nice main event. It was by far the best moment of the show, Alberto makes it feel big. But again there was too many talking segments that felt useless and that's why I rate this a 4. If you want to start watching Impact again with this new era, you really should skip this show and watch the next one as it was way better."
[2.0] "Oh WOW this if it's a bad start for the Reboot of Impact Wrestling. The only interesting thing was the Main Event and ended up being a very generic match. I hope the next episode gets better"
[0.0] "Perhaps the worst episode of a wrestling show I have ever seen. The huge focus on WWE and guys who no longer work there. The terrible loss of talent and their inability to replace them. Painfully pointless promos from irrelevant peopple like Bruce Prichard and Dutch Mantel. And the worst, the absolute worst, commentary of all time. I thought the commentary was bad before, but hearing Matthews and Borash bicker and shriek at each other all night was like having boiling crap poured into my ears. And, perhaps even worse, the message over and over and over again that the past several years were all terrible and this new era will "save" us, but this episode was far worse than anything produced in the previous era. Cap it all off with Mr No Buzz himself, the burner of bridges, the man whom has almost never gotten over anywhere, Alberto Del Rio, being pushed to the moon the very second he showed up in the company, whereas guys like Lashley who have earned a reputation over the past few years is dropped down the pull, and one of the hottest guys they've produced in EC3 is treated like an afterthought and a joke. There's no excuse, this was terrible and I will probably never watch another episode of Impact again."
