[6.0] "Fun show with a little bit of everything for fans. Including some very random matches with apparently no build which you would not find on a PPV/PLE event today. Highlights include the triple threat match and Edge v Owen Hart. Low points being Val Venis v Dustin Runnels. The main event is enjoyable and unpredictable if you don't know how the story ends, but maybe its 5min to long. For modern viewers its an easy show to have on in the background or watch while you are doing other things."
[6.0] "There's some good matches on this show but also a lot of filler here and the Triple Threat Main event isn't terrible, but it does fall a bit flat for me especially with how it ended with both Taker and Kane pinning Austin leaving a cliffhanger ending. It's a good storyline at least. The other Triple Threat which took place in the cage was far more enjoyable with The Rock continuing to rise up the card and becoming more and more popular with the crowd. Foley has yet another memorable crash and burn moment off the top. Edge vs Owen Hart was pretty solid and the 6 man tag was fine for what it was. Unfortunately there was just no build to most of the card and a lot of it just kinda happened and there was a pretty awful Venis vs Dustin match as well."
[5.0] "After a really fun Summerslam we go back to middling PPV's. It does start off pretty well though with Edge vs Owen Hart nice back and for with mostly fluid offenseand nice technical work. Some cheap sports heat from Owen to get the crowd riled up and Christian's debut leads to the finish (7/10) Snow/Scorpio vs. Too Much is for the most part an enjoyable silly undercard match with the crowd really into Snow's Head gimmick. There are a few sloppy moments and the finish is weird but otherwise an innofensive match (5/10) Mero vs Droz is super short and doesn't really do much. Could've been on TV (4/10) Bradshaw vs Vader doesn't make use of its gimmick at all and Vader totally didn't care about the WWF by this point (same could be said the other way around) Bradshaw has some nice looking stiff moves, but this is pretty boring (4/10) Brwon/Gangrel is another undewhelming match. A few cool moves and trash talk from D'lo while Gangrel's best moment is his entrance (4/10) Triple Threat cage match is the MOTN with some sick foley bumps nice intensity from Shamrock and great crowd work from Rocky. Very fun to watch (8/10) Venis/Rhodes has an awful story going into it and its a mostly average match that doesn't feel like a PPV bout. A kick out botch does suck the energy out of it as well (4/10) DX vs Jarret and the ex-Godwinns. When its Double J and X pac match is pretty fun when any other pair is in the ring its very nothing. (5/10) Main event is a very plodding brawl with an inconclusive finish some, theres a story to it but its not really fun to watch (4/10) Gets a 5 since there's nothing awful even when most of it its boring"
[4.0] "As usual at this point there were good and awful things, but at least the crowd was hot for the whole show. They started out nicely with two Canadians delivering a fast paced little match. Tag Team Match had a botched finish and some stupid spots, but at least Snow was over. Mero vs Droz was nothing to remember, while Bradshaw and Vader had an unnecessary stipulation attached to their match that just made both guys look bad. D-Lo tried to carry Gangrel into a decent match but even he couldn't work with such a clunky wrestler, but then a good bout finally happened. First Triple Threat Match was the best thing on this PPV with the crowd gladly cheering for Rock and Foley and a clever finish to keep all three guys looking strong. Venis vs Rhodes seemed like a Russo bollocks so let's leave it at that, while the 6-Man Tag was a fun little warm up before the main event, which was good in terms of the in ring work, but the stipulation seemed weird. Vince literally made it easier for Stone Cold to defend the title, but if you try to not think about it too much then you got yourself a pretty good brawl. The crowd was hot, Austin had some fine comebacks and the finish left you wanting to see what will happen next. All in all the show was a slug especially at the midway point, but the main eventers carried the whole thing to something at least watchable once again."
[4.0] "Very much a one, *maybe* two-match show. The Mankind/Rock/Shamrock cage match is easily the best part of the event; it featured a number of interesting spots and good interactions between the three, and for the historically-minded, was among the last appearances of the classic '80s blue steel cage (possibly the last where it was still painted blue; it had girders added to the top for this one but had not yet been repainted black as it would be for its last couple of uses). The main event was also a decent but inferior rematch from the far superior SummerSlam 3-way; the extra stipulation that Taker and Kane couldn't pin each other added a bit of interest, but ultimately led to an unsatisfying result. Owen vs Edge was OK too as Edge made his first singles PPV match, but ultimately was just kind of killing time until the debuting Christian appeared for the distraction, and D'Lo vs. Gangrel was also an OK but somewhat short match with little build behind it; these and the rest of the card really weren't anything that couldn't have just been accomplished on Raw (or even the still-new Sunday Night Heat). And pretty sad to see Vader being openly wasted by the company as he was obviously on his way out. Definitely a filler show in the '98 lineup."
[4.0] "So-so PPV. The triple threat match was easily the best thing of the night but another problem with the Attitude era was anything NOT involving the main event guys was just barely passable for Raw filler."

[4.0] "The triple threat match with Rock Shamrock and Mankind is by far the best match on the show, the opener between Owen Hart and Edge was good, the main event had a decent story to it but other than that this PPV was pretty mediocre. Matches from best to worst: Rock/Shamrock/Mankind ***3/4, Hart/Edge ***, Taker/Austin/Kane **3/4-***, Snow & Scorpio/too much **1/2, Vader/Bradshaw **1/2, 6 man tag **, Venis/Runnels *, Brown/Gangrel *, Droz/Mero 1/2"
[6.0] "I thought this was pretty enjoyable. The cage match was great, Owen Hart and Edge looks good even if Edge still looks a bit green, I didn't really get the Gangrel v D-Lo match but it was fine, Mero looked surprisingly decent with his newer style of offense, and the main event was pretty huge, even if the in-ring product wasn't necessarily the most impressive technically or with any big spots. The Cage match was the highlight of the night for me, though I feel like they could just as well left Shamrock out of it entirely, because that was definitely the Rock and Mankind show. Both of which had some damn good promos right before the match."
[6.0] "Eine unterhaltsame Show, mit einigen Highlights, z. T. aber auch deutlichen Schwächen, da das damalige WWF-Roster über nicht ausreichend gute Wrestler verfügte, um einen dreistündigen PPV ansprechend zu gestalten. So gefiel mir der Auftakt mit Owen Hart vs Edge gut, die in der Kürze ein ansprechendes Match auf die Beine stellen mit folgenreichem Finish für Edge (und Christian). Auch andere Matches wie das Tag Match, Bradshaw / Vader oder das 6 Men Tag Match waren qualitativ ordentlich, von der Bedeutung her aber kaum mehr als Filler. Marc Mero vs Droz, und die Matches von D-Lo und Val Venis sind in der Form höchstens Raw-Niveau und ziehen die Qualität doch runter. Damit reicht es auch an Kritik, da die Show in den exponierten Matches überzeugt: das Steel Cage Match war phasenweise spektakulär und klar das beste Match der Show, insbesondere das Finish ist clever gewählt und lässt alle drei gut aussehen, auf die späteren Matches von Rock und Mankind bekommt man einen guten Vorgeschmack. Zum Main Event sollte man festhalten, dass das Storytelling absolute Extraklasse ist und bei den Beteiligten nicht mit einem Dynamik-Feuerwerk zu rechnen war, das Match bot aber durchweg Spannung unter Mithilfe der gewählten Stipulation und Konstellation. Beide Triple Threat Matches sowie der Opener sind einen Blick wert, alles andere ist kaum der Rede wert."
[5.0] "There is some decent stuff on the under card, but sadly the Main Event is a bit of an anchor that weighs it down, ironic as with 98 WWF it was usually the under card that was below par and the Main Event would usually come along to save it. Not worth going out of your way to see, with Summer Slam before it and Judgment Day after it being more worth your time if you're looking to indulge in a WWF show from the Summer/Autumn of 98"
[7.0] "Bunter Streifzug durch eine Attitude-Blütephase. Warum hier einige den PPV schlechter machen, als er tatsächlich ist, entzieht sich meiner Auffassungsgabe. Wollt Ihr lieber 20 Minuten Khalis Kiss-Cam und 15 Minuten-Divenkrampf anno 2009? Zu dieser Veranstaltung muss man sagen, dass hier durchweg solides Wrestling gezeigt wird, kein Match zieht den PPV dramatisch herunter. Dass aber kein Match diesen Event auf Wrestlemania X-Seven Level hebt, darf nicht zum Vorwurf gemacht werden - dies ist einer von zwei kleineren PPVs zwischen Slam und Series. Die Matches an sich wissen aber größtenteils zu gefallen - das Cage-Match ist dabei klar herrausragend und transportierte erstmals bei einer Großveranstaltung unglaubliche Face-Reaktionen auf Rock. Dass der Main-Event die Story zum Titelturnier der Survivor-Series vorantreibt, ist zudem plausibel und zeigt den Unterschied zur WWE in zehn Jahren: Cena hätte das Match an Austins Stelle wohl klar gewonnen. Die Restcard ist gut erzähltes und solide vorgetragenes Handwerk."
[5.0] "Opener war ganz gut (***) . Das Tag Team Match danach war ok (**) Das Match danach fand ich schwach und hätte ich nicht gebraucht (* 1/2) Das Falls Count Anywhere Match war ganz OK (** 1/2). Brown vs Gangrel ist eher schwach (* 3/4) Das Nr. 1 Contender Match zwischen den 3 großen Aufstrebenden Stars des Jahres war das MotN (*** 3/4) Val Venis vs Runnels war wrestlerisch schwach die Fehde im allgemeinen war Comedymässig sehr unterhaltsam (**) Das Six Man Tag Team Match war wieder ganz OK (** 1/4). Der Main Event war zu lang aber ein ganz guter Brawl und für die Story gut gemacht (***)"
[5.0] "Very forgettable PPV. Undercard is pretty bad. It consisted mostly of Heat-level matches with no storyline. The best out of those are Gangrel vs D-Lo Brown and six man tag. Rock vs Shamrock vs Mankind is very good. One of the best cage matches for me. Main event is pretty enjoyable. Howewer it has dumb ending. I think that it could be better way to continue storyline like it continued."
[5.0] "Solider PPV. Owen vs Edge (** 3/4), Rock vs Shamrock vs Manind (*** 1/2) und der Main Event (***) sind die Highlights der Show. Der rest ist ** 1/2 und abwärts. Insgesamt war das alles in allem ganz gut, aber nichts atemberaubendes."
[5.0] "Owen Hart und Edge liefern einen sehr schönen Opener und bieten damit eines der wenigen Highlights der Show. Der eindeutige Höhepunkt der Show ist dann das Triple Threat Steel Cage Match, welches durchweg Spaß macht, wozu auch die Crowd beiträgt. Die restlichen Matches, inklusive des Main Events laufen dann eher unter dem Motto: Sehen und vergessen. Insgesamt ein sehr mittelprächtiger Pay-Per-View."
[5.0] "Der Event beginnt direkt mit einem Dream-Match (zumindest aus heutiger Sicht). Edge und Owen liefern sich dann auch ein technisch gutes Match mit diversen Nearfalls. Leider ist das Finish nicht so optimal. Es war aber dennoch ein guter Opener. Das folgende Tag Team Match ist ebenfalls ist nicht schlecht und wesentlich besser als ich es erwartet hätte. Danach folgen allerdings drei ziemlich belanglose Matches, die zwar nicht kompletter Müll sind, aber nicht über die Bewertung unterdurchschnittlich und maximal Wochenshow-Format hinaus kommen. Highlight der Show ist dann der Threeway im Käfig. Hier bilden sich ständig neue Aliianzen und werden sofort wieder zerstört. Es gilt wirklich jeder gegen jeden. Sehr schön umgesetzt. Leider fehlt mir so ein bißchen die Spannung was aber bei Käfig-Matches oft so ist. Am Ende sieht Mankind wie so oft wie ein kompletter Depp aus, aber Rocky als Sieger war schon die richtige Wahl. Am Match Dustin Runnels vs Val Venis war der Clip zum Match schon das unterhaltsamste. Ebenso wie beim folgenden Tag Team Match wird nur maximal solide Kost geboten. Der Main Event verkommt leider dann auch zum reinen Storyline-Match. Ist es am Anfang noch ein Squash so entwickelt sich doch langsam der Bruderzwist, der am Ende dann auch zu dem umstrittenen Finish führt. Welches leider einen bitteren Beigeschmack hat und sowohl das Match als auch den ganzen Event ein Stück weit nach unten zieht. Insgesamt eine relativ solide Show (jederzeit besser als alles was die WCW zu dieser Zeit so abliefert) mit zwei kleinen Höhepunkten und ohne richtige Lowlights. Von "Gut" ist man aber auch verdammt weit entfernt."
[5.0] "This event is in part disappointing, most things did not deliver. Too much shock factor (Jacqueline, Sable, Terri) and even less good Wrestling than usual. Val Venis vs Goldust/Dustin is the match that irritates me the most, it's a display of the wrong stuff from Attitude Era that made it popular. At least the two Triple Threat matches are enjoyable, the Ontario crowd was weird, cheering for the heel The Rock and booing Ken Shamrock. The main event is solid until the horrible ending that made no sense at all with the final decision for the title. So many things were wrong in this event but it's not bad thanks to the two Triple Threat matches and the 3 vs 3."

Triple Threat war gut. Rock schon langsam zur Wandlung zum People`s Champion. Oder lag es gar daran das man in "Bizarro World" war. Kanada ist halt eigenes Volk. (3 1/4*) 7. Venis gegen Runnels war okay. (2 1/2*) 8. Das Six Man Tag Team Match war solide. (2 1/4*) 9. ME war von Seitens des Bookings gut, aber das Match selber war wie bei ITC Classics schon gesagt wurde langweilig. Mir ging es auch zu lang. (1 1/4*)"
[5.0] "This rating is just for Edge/Owen: Poor Owen... not only did Toronto native Edge get a louder intro pop but even his attempts, he wore a the Toronto CFL jersey to the ring, were shafted as the crowd's really into the 'nugget' chant. They had a decent but heatless back-and-forth bout in which there's plenty of near-falls but most of which evoked apathy save for Edge's snap-quick reversal of a sharpshooter attempt into a roll-up. Of course the ol' adage applies - if he's Canadian or a family friend the Hart will win only via a roll-up. And because it's Russo, the ending made no sense as there's no reason why his very soon-to-be future (on-screen) tag-team partner Christian would distract and/or take-away from Edge. Despite the victory and being back in his home country, Owen looked annoyed walking backstage. A 5. 5 rounded down as I was left bittersweet."
[5.0] "Bisschen ereignislose In Your House-Ausgabe, die aber grundsätzlich nicht verkehrt ist. Ein paar nette Matches waren dabei und das Publikum war richtig gut aufgelegt. Vader kurz vor seinem WWF-Ausstand bekam von Bradshaw ganz gut aufs Fell gehauen. Triple Threat-Match war gut, Six Man-Match auch, nur der Main Event war mir etwas zu unspektakulär und bisweilen etwas lahm."
[5.0] "Netter kleiner B-PPV, der jedoch in keiner Phase beim Betrachter Schmerzen oder gar Schamgefühle auslöst. Natürlich war hier vieles nur halbgar, jedoch konnten insbesondere das Cage Match und auch die Storie und das Match rund um Austin vs. Taker und Kane durchaus gefallen. Etwas weh getan hat mir der quasi sang- und klanglose Untergang Vaders gegen Bradshaw..."
[7.0] "Owen Hart und Edge zeigen den perfekten Opener, an dessen Ende wir dann auch noch das Debüt von Christian sehen. Das zweite Match war dann wrestlerisch ordentlich. Mero gegen Droz ging so. Bradshaw gegen Vader war ein ordentlicher Brawl. D-Lo gegen Gangrel hat mir dann eher nicht gefallen. Richtig feines Triple Threat Steel Cage Match. Val Venis gegen Dustin Runnels und Jarrett/Southern Justice gegen DX ging beides so. Main Event war richtig ordentlich, war aber natürlich mehr Storyline als wrestlerische Klasse. Genial das letzte Bild mit McMahon, der Austin den Finger zeigt und den Titelgürtel in der Hand hält kurz bevor er in seine Limo einsteigt. Ganz guter PPV."
[5.0] "Insgesamt ein durchschnittlicher PPV, der einem teilweise wie eine bessere Houseshow vorkommt, bei dem aber auch kein Kampf wirklich schlecht ist. Leider war bis auf das Cagematch auch nichts wirklich besonderes dabei - auch im Main Event nicht. Andererseits hat der PPV schon einige Weichen in Richtung Zukunft gestellt: Der Titelverlust Austins in Hinblick auf die Survivor Series, das Debut von Christian und die beginnende Etablierung von Rock als Superstar. Daher insgesamt fünf Punkte."
[6.0] "The seeds for Rockamania were planted here, and it launched Edge as a singles star -- before they decided to de-push him. Like a lot of 1998 stuff that was heavy on the Russo, it worked at the time but had a short shelf life. It might be worth a look for nostalgia, and for some historical reasons, but the wrestling leaves a lot to be desired. I'll be generous, and call it a mild thumbs up. Don't take it as a ringing endorsement or anything, though."
[5.0] "Der erste PPV nach dem Summerslam. Los ging es mit Owen Hart vs. Edge: Viel gute Technik und ein schnelles Tempo. Das war ein sehr guter Einstieg in den PPV, nur etwas zu kurz. 6/10 Weiter mit TT Action. Al Snow & Scorpio vs. Too Much. War leider ebenfalls zu kurz aber ich fand das Match dank Al Snow sehr unterhaltsam. 6/10 Marc Mero vs. Droz habe ich nicht wirklich gebraucht und fand ich auch sehr überflüssig. 2/10 Nun kam das No Holds Barred Match zwischen Vader vs. Bradshaw. Sehr stark brawlinglastig, wie man es zur Attitude Zeit ja gewohnt war. Nicht sonderlich spannend und die Crowd war auch nicht mehr so dabei wie beim Match von Al Snow. Ingesamt 4/10. Bei D-Lo Brown vs. Gangrel war es nicht viel anders aber hier war das Wrestling besser. 5/10 Nun folgte das ganz klare Match of The Night! Das Triple Threat war spannend und es gab das erste mal riesige Face Reaktionen für The Rock. Das Match war wirklich klasse. 9/10 Hiernach konnte es nur bergab gehen. Val Venis vs. Dustin war zum Luft holen gedacht. Ziemlich unterdurchschnittliche Kost. 4/10 SixMen Tag TeamMatch. War wieder deutlich spannender mit einem hervorragenden Billy Gun. 6/10 Der Main Event lebte von seiner Story. Das Match wurde sehr langsam geführt und war viel gebrawle. Insgesamt ok 7/10. Ein weiterer durchnittlicher PPV der Attitude Zeit. Insgesamt gab es 90 Punkte zu holen, am Ende wurden es 49/90. Macht dann insgesamt 5 Punkte!"

[5.0] "Beim Opener merkt man erst einmal, wie sehr so Typen wie Owen Hart in der heutigen WWE-Szene fehlen, klasse Opener mit viel guter Technik 6/10. Das folgende Tag Team Match ist standard Heel-Face Kost, nur sind die beteiligten auch nicht unbedingt gut dabei 3/10. Droz gegen Mero geht absolut in Ordnung, hätte ich mir sogar schlechter erwartet 4/10. Bradshaw und Vader zeigen klasse Brawling im 80s-Japan-Style. Viele Lariats, gute Umsetzung mit wenig Waffen, jedoch reichen beiden die Fäuste auch total aus 6/10. Gangrel und Brown bieten ein sauber gearbeitetes Match ohne Besonderheiten 4/10. Zum Cage Match mehr im Guide 7/10. Runnels und Venis ist genauso wie Brown vs. Gangrel ein random Midcard Match, das nach dem Cage Match einfach nicht großartig wirken kann 4/10. Das Six Man Tag ist ebenfalls standard Heel-Face das durchaus zu gefallen weiß 5/10. Der Main Event ist zwar nicht unbedingt großartiges Wrestling Kino, doch schlecht ist es auch nicht. Brawling der Attitude Ära eben, 6/10. Insgesamt gebe ich der Show 5 Punkte, das ist genau das, was hier passt."
