129.09.2021SZ19896.0A decent, but average RINGS show. Best match once again involved Volk Han (vs Georgi Keandelaki ***3/4). Kohsaka made his debut on this show against Nobuhiro Tsurumaki, who was a decent opponent (***1/2). Kohsaka is still a bit away from his heights in the latter half of RINGS, but showed his potential here with his grappling competence. Honma vs Naruse (***1/4) was also a decent match, but it went on too long. Khakhaleshvili vs Wilhelm (**3/4) was basically two Judo guys going at it for two minutes or so. Which is fine, but nothing too notable happened here. Yamamoto vs Willie Peeters (***) was also decent, but was dragged down by Peeters using boxing gloves and also going on a bit too long. Halme vs Lurosi (**) can be written off. Just a bad match in general unless you enjoy Halme throwing body shots for a few minutes. The main event (***3/4) was fascinating, with Maeda going up against Chabadze Zaour from Georgia, who had a decent match or two in PWFG. Zaour was a huge Georgian wrestler and was perfectly serviceable in this format, and Maeda worked a pretty good match with him which could have gone on a few minutes longer without missing a beat.
