| 1 | 29.10.2021 | SZ1989 | 7.0 | Decent show overall with a fun main event and opener. The main letdown was Nijman vs Maeda. Kohsaka vs Zaza (****) - Solid opener. Kohsaka and Zaza work a very tight and realistic match with fewer crazy throws and more matwork and reversals. Sort of a strategic match from both sides. Haseman vs Tanaka (***1/4) - Pretty solid showing from Haseman and Tanaka. Nothing too exciting but solid work overall. Naruse vs Sakata (***) - Another match that is solid in terms of technical work and competence, but nothing that would excite anyone. Nagai vs Yamamoto (***) - Short match, but a nice approach from both to make it decent. Maeda vs Nijman (**1/2) - Bad match overall, with both men just sort of going through the motions. Tamura vs Tariel (****1/4) - Fun main event where Tamura forces Tariel to use all of his points on rope breaks and preventing himself from being TKO'd due to knockdowns. There were some flaws in how Tamura took Tariel down in terms of realism, but the drama made up for it. |
