[8.0] "(8.3/10) Could be that I'm biased because I was there with the love of my life. Or it could be, as said for the trillionth time, that NXT was the best thing from a WWE that had never been as hot as they were im 2024. Those who saw it through the network or Peacock complained about the crowd being dead. But I was there. That crowd was alive and hot for almost everything."

The ambulance match was just a drag tbh, and I dont understand why Ridge Holland is getting the push he is. The gauntlet was good enough for what it was, and the main event overdelivered, certainly helped by the fact that it had a stipulation. The ending however? Lmao. Oba/Tony - ***3/4, Womens Tag - ****, Ridge/Chase - **1/4, Gauntlet - **3/4, Trick/Ethan - ***1/2."

The Women's tag team match was phenomenal and I absolutely loved it. The ambulance match was a disappointment and didn't deliver like I was expecting. The gauntlet match was a huge disappointment from me and could've been booked way better. Finally the Devil's Playground match was honestly loads of fun, but the ending to the show disappointed me because it stole Trick's thunder. Overall a show that had good matches, and bad matches, but still left me satisfied."

[4.0] "I remember a year ago or so, someone called an NXT PPV 'a well produced indie show' and imo this show perfectly fit that description. In the opener plucky underdog babyface beat big menacing heel (in a plunder match, with some help, but hey), Holland/Chase was a paint-by-numbers walk-and-brawl match with an extended 'finishing stretch' for an Ambulance Match, gauntlet match was perfectly competent, but at the same time dull, boring, forgettable and didn't make anybody look good and the Main Event again failed to make Williams a bigger deal. Giulia/Vaquer vs. Perez/Jade was imo the best match here, unfortunately what stood out the most is how laser focused all four wrestlers were on in-ring action, that even Giulia wasn't trying to own the ring - it ended up being a classic example of 'four wrestlers worked very hard to win over the crowd, and they kinda did that'. I don't remember ever seeing Vaquer doing Spiral Tap, that was probably the only memorable spot from that match."

Jade & Perez[6] - Always great watching Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer perform, Roxanne was good as usual and it's good to see Jade back after her numerous injuries. Holland Vs. Chase[4] - This one didn't live up to the hype, was pretty boring. Gauntlet match[5] - I think Kelani is better than most of the women on the NXT roster, so not sure why she dropped the title to Fallon, would have been more interesting if Nyx had won it. Williams Vs. Page[7] - An entertaining match, but predicable, wasn't expecting Ridge's Assault and the end, or Bubba Rae's involvement."

The women's tag was probably the best of the night, while the D'Angelo-Femi opener was also good stuff (though the roles seem a bit backwards - the guy that wins after help from three other people is the face? ), and the Trick-Page main event was solid. The Women's Title gauntlet was just OK, and I'm not sure that Holland vs Chase really did enough to show Holland as a viable singles star going forward (at this point, he seems like one of those guys that just works best as a heavy for a group). A decent watch but probably nothing that will invite repeat viewings."

Then the show becomes mediocrity with matches that aren't bad but don't excite anyone either. I don't understand why they would have Zaria participate in two segments in the show, just the attack after the Gauntlet would be enough, by the way it would have been better to have just done Kelani vs. Fallon with some stipulation and interference, in the end the show was more focused on promoting the upcoming show at the old ECW Arena than on what was happening, see Bubba Ray Dudley's important participation during the show. In the end, a mediocre show with a vibe of a PG Extreme Rules. Tony vs. Oba (****), Giulia/Vaquer vs. Rox/Cora (***3/4), Chase vs. Holland (***1/4), Gauntlet (***), Trick vs. Ethan (***1/4)."

If the ratings were reversed, and the show got better towards the end, this would probably be a 7, but alas that's not what we have. I gave the matches 8/7/5/6/6 respectively. Zaria is being presented like a big deal. I didn't like seeing Bully in TNA, so I sure as shit don't need to see him here. Hopefully it's a one shot for the ECW Arena show."

[7.0] "A pretty unbalanced show all things considered. I personally don't get the hype with Tony D'Angelo, so having him beat Oba Femi in a wild and chaotic weapons brawl was meh to me. I don't think Oba should've lost the title for at least a few more months. Giulia and Vaquer vs Perez and Jade was an incredible match. A classic that once again shows that NXT will always have the best tag team wrestling division, for both men and women. All of the women really impressed, and I hope we get a great Vaquer vs Perez match out of it. Holland vs Chase was a decent match. Holland isn't exactly known for barn burners like his Brawling Brutes stablemates, but he is good at being a powerful monster when needed. Holland winning was a surprise, but with the end of the show is makes sense. The gauntlet match was quite good. Kelani Jordan looks incredible for a rookie, and they kept her looking very strong in defeat. Also congratulations to Fallon Henley on the title victory, as she has been one of the best if underlooked members of the women's division for quite a while. The main event was a typical Trick Williams match. I am a big Trick fan, but I think he is still too green and inexperienced to be a main event wrestler. Sure, having him win the NXT Title made sense, but wrestling such long and basic matches with experienced vets to cary him just makes him look worse than it does good. Also, the Trick Shot is a decent finisher that is protected to hell. Every Trick match makes him look too strong and too resilient."

Very good hardcore match, even though it was changed from being a regular Tables, Ladders, and Chairs match for whatever reason. The right guy won and now Oba can move up to the main event scene. Crowd was a little dead for the womens tag match, but came into it by the end. Stephanie Vaquer stole the show. Cora Jade held her own despite being by far the least skilled of the 4 wrestlers. Andre vs Ridge was a little long, but the right guy won and this storyline feels concluded. Crowd was hot for pumpkins. Gauntlet match was probably the worst of the night, but it was fine. Nothing offensive. They took the title off of Kelani which is the right move at this point. The main event was solid. Everyone knew Trick was going to win so that took the wind out of the sails a bit, but they did a good job with what they had to work with. Think Trick shouldve bleed considering how he hasnt tasted blood was part of the build up. The fake blood capsule he was chewing on didnt do it for me. It was also kind of lame to see a thumbtack tease only for it to be nuts and bolts."

Everything else has something letting it down. Ambulance match was truly awful, moving at such a slow pace. Gauntlet match couldve been fun, but rushed its way through anything interesting. And the Devils Playground match was good to start with but the finish completely killed it. NXT is a shadow of its former self."

The best match and one I recommend is Giula and Stephanie vs Cora and Roxanne , its a really good match , all four play their part well , Stephanie pinned the champion so she might be the one to dethrone Roxanne in teh future. Worst match is Tony vs Oba , I expected a lot more from this match. I can see why Tony needed help to win, cause he needed his family at his side but still the interference was whatever. Also kind of a lackluster match in it's own, not as good as their match at no Mercy. Match ratings: Tony vs Oba 6/10 , Giula and Stephanie vs Cora and Roxanne 7/10 , Ridge vs Andre 7/10 , Fatal influence vs Kelani gauntlet match 7/10 , Trick vs Ethan 8/10."

Giulia & Stephanie Vaquer vs Cora Jade & Roxanne Perez: MOTN with all four having a good showing, really solid action throughout with a surprise ending when Vaquer pinned NXT Women's champion Perez [****1/4]. Ridge Holland vs Andre Chase: An average match, nothing memorable happened and needed to be booked better [**]. Gauntlet Match: The only interesting part was Jordan vs Henley even with the interferences which weren't needed, Jordan vs Nyx was not good and Jordan vs Jayne was average at best, should have been a singles match and not a gauntlet [**]. Trick Williams vs Ethan Page: Some wince inducing moments, but overall the match was lacking that thing yo get to the level it needed, Trick refusing medical help was not good but still retaining the title was good to see [***1/4]"

[6.0] "A very entertaining show that had a lot of flavor and brought the unique NXT style mixed in with some WCW Halloween Havoc inspired set design that made it feel like something worth your time. A mix of some good action and big moments, the show was bookended by two fun weapon-based matches and highlighted the great womens division through showcasing upcoming, young talent, as well as new world travelled signees. Speaking of, the appearances of Zaria were done exceptionally, with her first appearing up in the rafters following the tag match, then coming down to the ring after the gauntlet match and killing all the members of Fatal Influence. Such a good highlight of the show, as was the team of Giulia and Stephanie Vaquer who continue to impress and looked once again like a genuinely well oiled team following their first tag match on Tuesday. Vaquer getting the pin on Roxanne should set up a lot of different avenues and with the addition of Zaria and potentially Jordynne Grace, this division will continue to thrive. The mens side of the roster might need a little bit of bolstering, specifically in the heel locker room. NXT seems to be going in the direction to make Ridge Holland the title challenger after defeating Andre Chase in a pretty fun Ambulance Match. With it being too early to build up Oba Femi after losing the North American Title, there needs to be some fresh faces to hold Trick over until then. Great show capped off with interesting teases for the future and many talking points to discuss."

But even the worst match on this card would've blown the women's matches at Bad Blood out of the water (such is the scale of just how bad Triple H has been booking the women's division this year), so it gets a passing mark in my eyes. Not a spectacular passing mark, but a pass nonetheless."

Both men's belt defenses are just rematches, Vaquer debuts against Perez, whom has always been the emperor's new shoes to me, & I only just began viewing Fatal Influence as anything better than "average" just a week ago, with my reward for this new-found open-mindedness being what is apparently a 4-way match with all freaking 3 of them, & the rating reflects my lack of excitement for it. Ridge Holland made a big impression on me at No Mercy '24, & yet, the rating for Chase v. Holland is pretty bad, too (for an ambulance match, no less! ). It got off to a really hot start and by about the halfway point started to cool off once the story took over for the action. Tony D retains (7/10). Giulia/Vaquer vs Cora/Roxanne was very good, the best match of the show. This showed just how good the NXT women's division is. There was a nice mix of different styles, everyone brought something unique. Giulia and Vaquer win their first PLE match to set up an interesting women's title picture (8/10). The ambulance match between Ridge and Chase was okay. They tried hard and beat each other up, but it was kind of boring and went too long (4.5/10). The gaunlet match for the women's NA title was okay. None of the three matches were interesting. At least there was a title change with Fallon becoming the new champion (4/10). Trick vs Page in the main event for the NXT Championship was decent. These guys just don't have much chemistry in singles matches. They tried to have this big epic match, but came up short. Trick retains, which at this point is fine as long as it means he doesn't have to feud with Page anymore (5.5/10). Halloween Havoc got off to a good start with the first two matches, from there it fell flat. 5/10"

With Zaria there to close it too. Wouldn't been a real high point to end the show. Could've had the mens match before it and the womens NA match 2nd on the card. Bad commentary, average to bad wrestling on the whole, characters who arent over outside of their home base. The main event was decent, but neither wrestler has yet reached the level of former NXT champions. Fatal Influence seems to have no other destiny than to be slaughtered by Zaria, but Kelani should have something to say in the months to come. Finally, Andre Chase and Ridge Holland had a mediocre match that doesn't make you want to see Holland at the top of the card. Total for in-ring quality: 2.75/5. For in terms of angles and segments, the interactions between Bubba Rey and Ridge Holland suggest that the latter is well on his way to a challenger's spot for Trick's title. This should end after the nostalgic Philadelphia bit, but it was a pretty unconvincing way to end the show. Fortunately, the two angles around Zaria were far more uplifting. I particularly liked the fact that she first came to scrutinize the first women's match, only to return unexpectedly during the second. NXT's women's competition promises to be very high quality. Total for angles and segments: 1/3 Bonus/Malus: None. Total: 5.75/10 Show seen on the WWE Network."

Why is Ethan Page vs Trick Williams with a Bully Ray interference on my TV screen in 2024? I know NXT is under the WWE umbrella so they benefit from having a great PR team, but we NEED to hold them accountable for this poor NXT booking. Ridge Holland vs Andre Chase? WHATTT? I'm also hearing rumors that they're calling up Oba Femi to RAW? He's one of their few bright spots and HHH is robbing Shawn of him already? Very premature decision. Oba should be in the NXT Men's World Title picture and should have squashed both Ethan Page and Trick. You cannot have this many stinkers on a 5 match card. Very dissapointing PLE. With all that being said, NXT should become a Women's only promotion. The NXT women are the draw and attraction to this show, other than Cora Jade. Steph and Giulia vs Roxy was an amazing match with some real brutality and psychology. Roxy is a great champ and should get her flowers. Delta debut was cool, but meh in my opinion. The guy is too good and that NXT Championship is calling his name. The womens tag match was MOTN and the NXT womens division has always been good but it is absolutely STACKED with so much depth. There are so many prospects to take the title off Roxanne. She deserved this longer reign and Im curious to see who ultimately beats her. The Womens NA title match was a fine end to Jordans reign but I do wish Jacy got the title over Fallon (who is still a good choice). Jacys made every storyline work that shes been in, is a highlight in each with her character work, and wouldnt be negatively affected by a short reign. Just felt like it was time but it was wild to see JoJo Siwas final form make her presence 100% known and is now likely gunning for the Womens NA title. I would have put Trick and Ethan in the opener because it was not good enough for a main event. The women deserved that spot in this show as they had the best match and all four are currently more interesting than Trick and Ethan.
