Direkte Action und bei Devlin knallt dann auch mal mehr als der Oberschenkel. Schöne Abwechslung, gute Dynamik, die Trademark-Manöver sind gut gestreut und die Schlussphase ist episch. Mir gefällt diese kurzzeitige Eskalation sehr, da sie sich recht natürliche anfühlt und die Stimmung in der Halle dabei eh schon sehr intensiv war. Hat perfekt gepasst, vorbehaltlich einer erneuten Sichtung MOTN von Tag 2. (****½) |

Both guys only seemed focussed on getting in their typical big spots, and these were mostly all well executed, but I disliked how neither guy had done enough to establish a 'base' pace, since then I had nothing to compare these big exchanges too. I guess it would be appropriate to say that this match felt overkill, since the big moves came after we had only seen a series of very middling exchanges, so it felt like both guys had done their minimal opening work and then jumped a few steps to immediately go for the typical 'epic' finishing stretch. I still liked this work, but not to any significant extent. Best part of the match was easily the finish, as Devlin's sickening headbutt out of nowhere, followed by him collapsing on top of the unconscious Fletcher, was a great visual. *** |
