There is very visible emotion on the faces of HDA as they are introduced; interestingly, Kobashi competed earlier in the evening rather than alongside KENTA here. This may be a pragmatic workrate decision, but it also sets up a different dynamic. (Kobashi is on commentary.) KENTA and Kawada are the exciting heart of this, but everyone contributes, even the visibly broken-down Taue, who takes punishment for his team and takes part in some great transitions and finishers. Akiyama is a nice smoother for his team, transitioning the match to other phases (though not doing much else). Kawada can still really go, turns out, and KENTA wants to test himself, and so slaps Kawada early and Stepkicks him very soon after. Kawada punishes all this severely, but not without selling hard - KENTA's slap actually knocks Kawada down, and Dangerous K looked stunned in every sense. The match flows nicely, and it always feels like something interesting is happening. There are several open references to classic AJ matches, and seeing the HDA double teams was glorious (after over 9 years off! ). KENTA is pinned by Taue, but only after several finishers. This is a match that works as a tribute to the man whose portrait hangs over the entrance, but it also works as a match linking the Old Guard to their little brother Akiyama, and then this young punk KENTA who is both the present and the future: the legacy of the movement and style lives on. 4/5 |

| 05.09.2024 | NastyYaffa | 8.0 | It is a really fun match. Seeing HDA reunite & do their thing is awesome. KENTA being KENTA and going right after Kawada's face is just brilliant, and the best bits of the match are definitely when they're going at it. |
| 03.08.2024 | RealGrapsThomsen | 8.0 | The return of the Holy Demon Army was epic, very hard hitting with great selling from all four men and Kawada and KENTA going at it lived up to the hype. |

| 21.09.2023 | Shadow Explosion | 9.0 | Awesome match for the last proper Holy Demon Amy tag match, under less than fortunate circumstances. It was awesome that Kawada & KENTA finally went head to head and they kicked ass together. Taue big booting the hell out of people was awesome too. Akiyama wasn't exactly clean, but his offense was still brutal with his knees and exploders. |
| 10.09.2023 | CFOS | 9.0 | Kawada & KENTA had an incredible chemistry, everything was so damn stiff and KENTA got bitched out. Akiyama was pretty great too & same for Taue even if they were not the center point. I also really enjoyed HDA's team work. Amazing match and amazing tribute for Misawa. ****1/2 |
| 15.12.2022 | Loki Hipster God | 7.0 | This match's function was to be more of a special novelty rather than a high workrate match. Having said that, the KENTA-Kawada portions were amazing, showcasing not only the incredible chemistry these two had with one another, but also Kawada's ability to still go at a high level. A series of singles matches between the two could have been huge, but I guess it wasn't meant to be. |
| 22.06.2022 | kenny jakson | 8.0 | oh my god.any wrestler who want to enter the wrestling industry, must watch Kawada in this match.his selling and his his movement make audience crazy.he is master of making a match drama. |
| 16.07.2020 | JxhDel | 6.0 | NOAH was still mourning Misawa's death and Kawada came in to support them during the painful transition. This felt special, due to Holy Demon Army's reunion and KENTA going against Kawada, and it lived up solidly to the expectations, counting the circumstances. *** - ***1/4 |
