The same facial expressions, same reactions - the heels seemed to have more personality. Not bad in terms of work, but WCW seriously had better main event stuff a few years back."

Vader is as great as ever and Flair is clearly happy just to be back in the ring. Savage had a great year in '95 and really turns it up at times here, and while Hogan definitely didn't have a great year he held up his end in this particular match."

We get a brief glimpse of The Giant watching the match from the aisleway. The Renegade and Arn Anderson are running around outside doing stuff, too, but no one cares. Fun match, but a little standard for Hogan."

Having Flair and Savage makes it better and we get one of the first sightings of The Giant who is hanging around the entrance way watching the good guys. Hogan and Savage come out on top as one might expect but Poffo Sr gets beat up by Flair postmatch and this reignites the Flair/Savage feud from 3 years earlier and was honestly the best thing going on in WCW at this time."

[5.0] "This isn't bad as far as Hogan matches in WCW go, as low a bar as that is to clear. Flair can make anyone look good, and he does a great job of putting Flair over. Savage still seems to care and so is great to watch, and the parts with him and Flair are the obvious high points of the match. Vader is slow by this point and is near the end of his WCW run, and doesn't seem to show much interest in the match. The Penultimate Warrior is at ringside, and an enormous presence looms at the entrance. One of these would go on to be important. Overall it's a solid match, but like everything on this show never really hits top gear."

Unless the Renegade is just ridiculous, every time he appeared in the frame it caused spanish shame. The involvement of Poffo Sr. made the feud hotter. Good ending to the show, 7 points"

I like all four wrestlers in the right setting, but the match structure was really odd and the match regularly felt like it meandered as a result. The relatively flat reaction to Hogans hot tag is a good example of how the match building up to it hadn't succeeded in getting the crowd as invested as they should have been. It wasnt actively bad, but I dont think it would be fair to say it was good either"
