[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. Even though Season 4 went down in quality in compared to the first 3 seasons, this season was still plenty of fun, especially considering the quality of WWE at the time. This was a fun match, but there were times where I wish we saw more action. Hernandez was eliminated within the first few minutes and he could have done more than what we saw him do here. We did get some fun crowd brawling after that, including Jake Strong powerbombing Dante Fox into a wall. PJ Black did a little more, but even he didn't do much here. Big Bad Steve wasn't here to be a great in ring wrestler, rather he was here to brawl which included the use of a wrench as a weapon. There was a great moment when Drago came out wearing a hard hat and a construction outfit, which alone was humorous, but he came out with forklift complete with a pallet. He lifted it with Aero Star on it, to which he did a huge dive and pinned Steve. The final three was Strong, Fox and King Cuerno, which honestly was the best part of the match. Strong won the match and with it the Gift of the Gods Championship, which ultimately would lead into him winning the Lucha Underground Championship. ***1/2"

[8.0] "The commentators tried to sell Dante as the underdog from the very beginning, and that's exactly how it played out--but unfortunately, it ended with a winner that I don't think anyone really wanted, and who quite literally didn't do anything noteworthy. Good spots from the rest, an entertaining match overall, maybe a bit too long."
[8.0] "Good match, bad winner. I will at least say this for Strong; this was one of his best performances. Lots of cool pop ups into the ankle lock and such, and he went the distance. Anyway, aside from him winning, Dante Fox and King Cuerno looked amazing here, and obviously Aerostar doing the high spots will always be something special."
[6.0] "Wasn't a huge fan of the match on this show, it was decent but almost half the guys clearly had no shot at winning, and the final 3 felt a bit repetitive with lots of slow standing up and moments to make Jake look good. Dante was the highlight (tho Aerostar's dive was cool too) and it picked up when it seemed like he might win, but of course he tapped and the crowd seemed deflated"
