Slamovich sah hier mit einigen Moves richtig gut aus, z.B. mit dem Dropkick durch die Seile into Rollup, aber auch dem Scissor Kick oder ihrem German. Miyu ist bei den Kicks natürlich klar vorne, aber in den späteren Strike Duellen kann Masha auch mit Chops und Forearms punkten. Miyu mit einem schönen step-up Kick über den Turnbuckle, revanchiert sich ihrerseits später mit einem German und hat letztendlich den finalen Knock Out. Leider etwas kurz bei dem Potenzial was in der Paarung steckt, aber für die gut 11 Minuten eine absolut gelungene Darbietung von beiden. |

Both of these competitors wanted to prove that they were the mentally stronger of the two and utilized a relatively short period of time to tell a story that could have filled 20 minutes. Miyu Yamashita is deservingly earning praise as one of the best in the world and Masha Slamovich should be on the receiving end of equal acclaim. Slamovich really impressed me with her quickness here, as he counters and sequences were show-stealing at times. That includes that excellent series of events between the ropes and into the Jacknife. I would love to see a rematch with more time to burn, as these two are opponents who feel like a match made in wrestling heaven. 3.5 stars, 7 out of 10. A damn good match. |

All of Miyu's grappling work looked really nice and realistic, and I at least *think* her kicks mostly all looked good, but the camera work and sound set-up was so poor and removed from the action itself that I often couldn't properly see or hear them, which sucked (c'mon, there's no excuse for such shoddy work in 2022). Masha's various quick and agile counters were fun, though her strikes didn't always look as convincing or polished as they could have (even with me already accounting for the show's poor camera/sound work). She clearly looked like a wrestler merely attempting to use kicks, whereas Miyu always looks like a wrestler who was also specifically trained in kickboxing. Miyu's kicks in the 2nd half looked even more impressive, featuring fantastically precise technique and convincing impact, while Masha managed to at least deliver her strikes with decent intensity even as her technique itself remained mediocre. I wasn't a fan of them at times taking the easy and cliched route by going for all the "strong-style" 50/50 trades and no-selling, but at least they performed that stuff decently enough. *** |

The same goes for Slamovich of course who continues to be better and better every time I see her on my screen, the Russian dynamite adds another very good performance to her credit and it was cool to see that she was chosen to be Yamashita's opponent here. This match was intense, physical, very well paced and the crowd was on absolute fire for them, always cool to see girls succeed and steal the show, what a sprint. |
