| 9 | 09.07.2024 | JTI | 7.0 | It's interesting that Matt Cross is such a long-time respected veteran when he never really had any lengthy runs with WWE, TNA, AEW, ROH, anywhere in Japan, etc. Really Lucha Underground was his only moment in the sun, and to be fair he did a great job as Son of Havoc. But other than that he's just kinda floated around the main event scene of mid-sized indies and the midcard scene of large-sized indies. Which is fine, don't get me wrong. It's just a little bit frustrating, like watching a great pro baseball player that is always stuck at the top of the rotation of a Double-A team. Matt's really solid in the ring and an OK promo, with a great look and work ethic, but age is catching up to him, and it'd be nice to see him have at least one more run on TV somewhere. |

On Lucha Underground, he was a decent mid card to lower tier act, but was obviously not ever going to be a real money draw. He has athleticism & passion for days... just missing the "it factor" to ever make more of a name. |
