[10.0] "One of my favorite tag teams of all-time are the Fantastics. The Rock & Roll Express and The Road Warriors got all of the publicity in WCW during their run in '88-'89 Then, in Smoky Mountain Wrestling, they had a brief reunion with Bobby's brother Jackie involved and taking over Rogers's spot in the team. That wasn't a good move, as the team wasn't as good without Rogers involved. They had another brief reunion in a return to WCW in 1996 for one loss to the Faces of Fear before going back to Japan. The last time they were in the ring together (to my knowledge) was as opponents on an episode of WWF Monday Night Raw in a match that lasted mere minutes and got no mention of them being a former tag team as part of their Light-Heavyweight Title tournament. Such a sad ending to a great team. If they were on the card, you knew they were in the best match. Their 45-minute match on Worldwide with the Midnight Express is one of my favorites of all-time and this team never failed to deliver. Eric Bischoff stated by the time they returned to WCW in 1996, that their time had passed. I disagreed because they could still go in the ring, but I wasn't running the company, so off to obscurity they went. Rest in peace, Tommy Rogers. You were a great entertainer."

[10.0] "One of the 80's not so hidden gems, if The Fantastics were on the card, it was probably the best match, undoubtedly one of the best 3. Watch them pop crowds like few did in their time! Yes they were basically another Rock n Roll Express clone but both were in much better shape and Tommy always looked absolutely TREMENDOUS. They outworked the RnR by leaps n bounds as well. The Fantastics had chemistry with essentially everyone but their Midnight Express matches were always off the charts. Flaws would be their size meant Vince would have never even touched them (unless they were cool with being in "45 second squashes"), so they never went further than JCP (which did allow for a short WCW stint) and sometimes Bobby could be "too cute" to the point of detrimental. Recommended with no hesitation, I honestly can't glow enough."

Great work against the Varsity Club, Sheepherders and both of the Midnight Express teams. I preferred them to the Rock & Roll Express but they were not as over. Their mic work hurts them in that comparison but not their ring work."

They were tremendous in North America & in AJPW. I absolutely love their body of work in the 1980's & 1990's. They had WAY too many outstanding matches to ignore, and they brought it hard all the time from what I see."
