[10.0] "This company is one of the richest by talents and interesting gimmicks in the world of wrestling imo. They always improve and try to caloborate with another companies"
[10.0] "The best match for match week to week promotion in the world and has been for at lest for three years, just the 6 years between 2008-2014. When CMLL/EMLL is good, it's one of the best. Promotions in the world Saying this as someone who likes watching IWRG more than CMLL.."
[10.0] "My favorite company, only thing I would try to change is the championship scene. First, most top guys are not holding these. There is an average of circa 100 days per defense for the world titles, which I think is too much, I would try to slash that in half, and to make the wrestlers defend them at Aniversario shows. I would also get rid of the NWA titles that are never defended. I'd get rid of the Lightweight division and add another one for women."
[10.0] "I grew up with this company, I knew of lucha libre and pro wrestling in general, it's been decent then and even now, making great stars and even some of my favorites like mistico, templario, hechicero and soberano jr. Just such a good promotion to watch all of lucha libre and learn it's history"
[10.0] "this might be one of my favorite companies of the modern era, in the last 3 years cmll has hit anew prime, thankfully they've been investing in the past and future, stars of the 2000s that can still go in the ring like volador jr and mistico, along with the new era like mascara dorada and the villano kids, along with the aew and njpw partnerships creating a foreign interest in the company, this is a super good company though, u should def watch it if you get the chance to buy a show or something"
[7.0] "2022 has been the year where all their rebuilding has borne fruit. Well, almost all of it, the women's division is still as shallow as a kiddie pool, but they are at least taking steps to move away from the old guard. Must-see shows from them this year include the men's Grand Prix and the Anniversary show. EDIT for 2024: Their good times continued. Even with the crossover shows with AEW that whiffed, CMLL mostly puts on very good to great lucha libre shows on fridays. It's all easy to access on their youtube memberships, consider checking them out!"
[8.0] "CMLL is certainly the most historic continually-operating wrestling promotion in existence and is one of two Mexican-based promotions that can be considered a national league. It doesn't appear to have too many ambitions to grow beyond Mexico - They don't even have a touring cycle and instead host events at arenas they already own outright - But instead spread international awareness by forging relationships with partners abroad (New Japan has long remained a traditional partner to them while they've begun branching out to different wrestling promotions based in North America. That said, you can catch them on YouTube if you reside outside of their traditional broadcasting area. Given their historic presence in Mexico, CMLL should be recognized as Mexican National League."
[10.0] "CMLL is not only a historic company for how long its operated but its continued popularity as well. Arena Mexico is an incredible stadium and they sell it out every single show the fans/atmosphere of every show is always electric as well. For me every show they put on has at least one 7/10 match and the Roster they have is the reason for it, some of the best under 30 wrestlers in the world and their older wrestlers can still keep up. Their relations with NJPW and AEW as well as some friends made me give them a shot and I havent been disappointed at all."
[9.0] "Although other promotions in Mexico at some point surpassed it starting in the late 90s, CMLL established itself as one of the most important promotions in the world, I am glad that little by little they are surpassing their rivals by making a good mix of the new and old school of Lucha Libre, they are making good collaborations and filling gigantic stadiums, people like them and many stars prefer to sign for them rather than for their rivals."
[8.0] "Finally started getting into CMLL and I have really enjoyed what Ive seen so far. While some of the talent I already recognise e.g. Mistico and Im having fun seeing other Lucha stars I may not have seen before. And from an in ring standpoint CMLLs matches have been really good and I hopefull this momentum can continue for me and this score can improve."
[9.0] "I love CMLL, I think at their best they are the best wrestling in the entire world. The problem with them is that their booking can at times be extremely conservative and pushes can happen at a glacial pace, it is understandable as that conservatism is what has allowed CMLL to live on to become the oldest promotion in history. They had some of the best matches ever such as Atlantis vs. Villano III, Dandy/Casas/Santito three way, basically any Dandy match actually, but they also have had some not so great stuff like Bestia del Ring matches."
[10.0] "The greatest Lucha Libre company of ALL TIME. I love how seriously they take the sport of wrestling. The history is long and storied. Watching a show is like watching a real life comic book, the characters, gimmicks, masks and colours are incredible! These luchador masks hold more value than most championships, in the whole of the sport. 2/3 fall matches are fantastic. I watched my first ever live CMLL show this summer in London and it did not disappoint, was thrilled throughout! You also get appearances from RevPro stars, AEW stars and NJPW stars, so something for everyone!"
"CMLL is the oldest professional wrestling promotion in the world. It maintains a 'Perfect Show Theory' seen throughout Lucha Libre and Puroresu -- which should remind fans of the US territories of times when in-ring action was the most important aspect in the states. The promotion can sometimes have lazy booking, but the IWGP Conception with NJPW and RevPro allows CMLL talent to show just how good they are in the ring. The wrestling school at Arena Mexico produces solid talent, while not being at the level of the NJPW dojo system, it is one of the top wrestling training programs in the world. A good promotion with a lot of talent."
[8.0] "They got through a rough pandemic and backstage shakeups and are now putting out the best weekly free wrestling on YouTube by a healthy margin. It hurts my brain that the English-speaking fanbase hasn't picked up on the fact that CMLL is giving away their big Friday shows for free on a relatively short two-week delay. Their young guard is coming through really, really strong and their women's division has made major strides. Add that to free livestreams of their weekday shows and you've got an abundance of easily accessible, high-quality pro wrestling who's only barrier to entry is a baseline understanding of how lucha libre works + learning a bit of wrestling Spanish. WATCH CMLL."
[8.0] "Mexico has two giants currently: CMLL and AAA. I have a lot of issues with both, there are major issues plaguing them and preventing them from becoming international powerhouses that they should be, but if I have to pick which promotion I enjoy the most, I would have to narrowly say CMLL. Sure its roster is bloated in the mens division yet shallow in the womens, sure some storylines arent great and while sure they are getting rid of the old guard, they are still present, but the talent is there, and its still somehow less of a mess than AAA. I wish Lucha Libre would be more appreciated internationally, but with the current state of things, it will be hard to see that happening for a few years. That said, for how important CMLL has been for professional wrestling, I have to give them a high grade."
[5.0] "Harder to follow as an American fan who does not speak Spanish but when I watch the shows I see good lucha action but very repetitive, matches are all very similar. Has a bloated roster. Historically is one of the most important wrestling promotions in the world."
[5.0] "They are sitting on so much talent at the moment, but the lackluster direction (i.e. not much in terms of storylines), repetitive booking, and very, very obvious nepotism on display make it hard to care much for CMLL. There is something of a push with the women's division lately, but historically, this promotion hasn't cared much for women, and still has too many women nearing 50 years of age. It's a sad state of affairs for a promotion that has so much history to it. Whenever AAA has a big event, there's a buzz on social media about it, even though legally, they cannot show their big events outside of Mexico. CMLL, on the other hand, doesn't care to sell their shows to a foreign audience. Truly amazing, this means that some of their better matches cannot be seen at all after they air, unless some kind soul records the events (which is not often), or CMLL feels like showing that stuff on TV. Sometimes, their own wrestlers don't know when the matches will air!"
[7.0] "CMLL is the most historic wrestling company that exists in Mexico, but in recent years they have not known how to stay since they are not a competition for Triple A since the BOOM of the Mistico in 2004-2007, in addition to the fact that the product they offer lacks stories attractive, they have not known how to update themselves."
[6.0] "Legendary promotion with a near endless amount of classic matches to its name. Currently the product is in a permanent stasis where nothing really matters. Great matches happen from time to time but nobody has any upward momentum. Shows are mostly there to entertain the tourists and nothing more. When they put in a minor amount of effort, things do improve because the roster is so vast and talented. But it is rare that they do."
[6.0] "CMLL is almost a breed of its own for professional wrestling. Predating WWE and essentially inventing the luchadore this brand is largely responsible for professional wrestlings success overall. The wrestling is very traditional and a lot of the athletes have been doing what they do for 20 years or longer. This isnt however the case overall as some botches are so severe that some performers look like they are air boxing their opponent. The set quality and audio quality is good however there is always a seemingly foggy feel to their typical stadium. They are also immensely gracious with being accessible to viewers with free full shows on youtube every week. They dont have an active website like WWE, ROH. Or reality of wrestling (ROW) do, Which really causes issues when trying to get familiar with the athletes. All in all this is a must view program at least once by any true wrestling fan."
[7.0] "I think CMLL used to be the greatest wrestling promotion in the world. From wrestling quality perspective it was out of reach for any other promotion. Incredible acrobatics, great personalities, phenomenal presentation and very unique style. Their glory days are long gone, but CMLL is one very solid lucha libre promotion. And of course, I have to mention that CMLL is a home of Ke Monito. I love that little blue monkey."
[9.0] "CMLL is a rare company that lives in its own bubble where almost nothing has changed in 60 years, but that works for them. They produce incredible wrestlers and their ring quality is one of the best today, although they have always suffered to tell great stories. Attending an event at Arena Mexico is one of the best experiences that exist."
[8.0] "CMLL is a major promotion with plenty of great matches and tradition, the only problem is to many meaningless trios matches and there refusal to expand."
[9.0] "The best and the oldest wrestling promotions based on Mexico City, lucha libre style was totally great and awesome also it's the place where you can feel all the excitement with all great talents"
[10.0] "The best company in Mexico and the oldest in the world. Lucha Apuestas is the most interesting thing that has the CMLL. The luchas have that classic touch that only CMLL can give us. but I think we should give more value to their championships."
[10.0] "CMLL is the first and greatest Lucha Libre company of all time also may I the oldest wrestling company in the world today I specially love the Lucha De Apuestas 😄"
[8.0] "One of the best federation in Mexico. It presents a traditional Lucha Libre style which is slowly dying out. Despite this, the federation has a lot of brilliant wrestlers like Averno, Angel de Oro, Atlantis, Rey Cometa and many others."
