At least this promo was better than the CM Punk one that got even higher rates than this. Jey is a good talker, but when everything he does is yeeting and saying silly stuff he sounds so stupid, but he was able to show a bit of his true level he hasn't showed since leaving the Bloodline nearly the end with that last part. And as for Bron, dude basically saved the whole segment. He did a really good job in the mic putting himself over with facts. Just this whole family stuff is being so forced in. Why are they making it about Steiner vs Anoa'i? Just to milk the hell out of the names and make it sound more epic? Yeah, I understand that, but it doesn't make any sense since Jey has been presented as a guy that had to fight his own family to get where he is right now. If you're not going to solidly prove backstage politics helped Jey have a great career, then don't bring that stuff into the table. |

He does fantastic here, and has some great chemistry with Jey Uso. This is one of Jey's best promos in ages too, at least in his second part. Overall, the theme of family in professional wrestling works really well, as it runs strong between both of these men for different reasons. Jey Uso has been surrounded by his family for his entire career, especially during the Bloodline, and it's been difficult for him to step out of that shadow, something that WWE is desperately trying to do. Bron Breakker is related to the Steiner brothers, his father being Scott, but he's made absolutely sure he can be as disconnected as possible he can make a name for himself. The mention of both men's career trajectories was really well done, because Bron Breakker has been killing it as a singles star since NXT World Champion, and only in the past couple years did Jey Uso finally begin doing singles work, and he still hasn't won that big singles title yet. The rebuttal of this point being that Jey has been winning gold for the past ten years, and then pointing out Bron's NFL career at the end in comparison is a very nice touch. Quick rise to the top vs. endurance, two big characters with great charisma, done with great execution. |

Probably because of the crowd chanting yeet between every pause in dialogue and before Bron came out USOs delivery was very clunky. |
