I've never been a big Kosei Fujita guy and I don't believe I've even seen YOH before this tournament. These guys showed that they are in fact capable of having a great match but I'd be lying if I said this didn't all the way click with me. I like YOH, he has this shitbag aura about him kind like a Mao but less likeable for whatever reason. Outside of his character he does display in ring talent but his moveset feels a tad stale at times and almost too referential to better performers. He can hit the moves with intensity but I'm constantly reminded of other wrestlers instead of investing in him. Fujita was able to showcase a lot more pace and emotion in this than I've seen in other matches but he seems to be lacking that x factor for me and his chops need a lot of work. Overall the match was a great back of forth with an excellently sequenced finish but I could've done without YOH absorbing all those chops and running off the ropes to imply more impact. It was just a goofy spot that added nothing to the match" |

7 | today 09:23 | Notorious27 wrote about Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa: [5.0] "Although this wasn't bad, it could've been a lot better in my opinion. The biggest problem I have with the match is the introduction of the new member of Solo's bloodline. This exact formula has been done so many times already! Do something different! We've seen the same finish a dozen times already. The match itself was pretty average, Fatu shined as he always does but it felt more like a TV match than a PLE match. Overall, not bad, but not great either. 2.75*" |

Knowing the history these two had to together, I had high expectations, and sure enough they delivered. In the beginning of the match Orton hurts his back, they did a great job of implementing that factor throughout the match. It was an entertaining match, with some great back and forth sequences and a creative finish. The crowd was hot from start to finish as well. One of the best matches of the year so far, hopefully not the last time we see these two on opposing sides in the ring. 4.25*" |

11 | today 09:07 | Zimbabouix wrote about AEW Dynamite #300 (02.07.2025): [8.0] "Damn, as a day 1 AEW fan, this feels special, 300 Dynamites and they're still delivering, even more sometimes. To be honest I expected this show to be a little bit better because I didn't really liked the execution of the promo opener, I like the story, I like the fact we're going Texas Death 2 but something was off from the moment it started to get physical to the Buckshot Lariat on Marina, like the fact she stood in the ring for so long, the Opps involvement didn't felt important ect.. Also the 4 way was good but a bit to much all over the place with some missed spots, Bowens is getting better but MJF was the... MVP (lol) then after the match the segment with JetSpeed and the beatdown they took from Hurt Syndicate didn't moved me, I don't like this storyline. The rest of the show was fire, the trios "Villains vs Heroes" was clearly the MOTN with Young Bucks proving again that they're the best in multi man tag matches, however let's not forget how fuckin cool Bandido and Takeshita were in this one, spectacular stuff! Mercedes Moné vs Mina Shirakawa was better than their Tokyo Dome match, Mina is made for weekly TV. Obvious lil' banger in the tag Ospreay & Swerve vs Mortos & Dralistico (who's improved this year) but the interesting stuff was after in the segment where they put something interesting on the line for the match against Bucks at All In, no world title shot for 1 year. Now I can really say that Ibushi is truly BACK, that main event against Okada was awesome and Omega returning to save his Golden Lover after the match to a huge pop! Great build for All In!" |
12 | today 09:02 | [] "Started this match the same way I do with all raw tag matches, on my phone every looking up every now and then. But as this went on I became more and more locked in on the match, and it ended up being quite good. Capped off with the shock title change. (7)" |
13 | today 08:50 | gravelramabrawl wrote about Scott Steiner vs. Test: [5.0] "Scott slipping off the side of the ring to start the match was pretty funny. No one, including myself, would dare laugh in front of Scott though as you can see from the ringside fans. A couple tried to cover their faces but most were too scared of Scott's perceived (as well as real) reputation for being a loose cannon to react as they would to most anyone else. On that note, this match is an unfortunate example for how the filter the WWE always had on their cameras did not do a wrestler like Steiner the justice he deserved. When he was in WCW, you could see how insanely ripped he was physically & how intimidating he could be in real life. The WWE filter really takes away from that & makes him seem more like just another guy. Despite that, playing babyface, & Test working the abusive boyfriend angle, he still looked pretty scary. Being the loose cannon that Scott is, I'm pretty sure he violated Stacy at the end of this match too. I suppose she could have been selling the bump from Test pushing her over, but it looked more like like she was in shock from Scott's fingers going where they should not have. Aside from ALL of that, the match was pretty much what we would expect & other than the initial slip, both guys executed their moves & played out the story well. We even get a clean finish as Test was the cause of his own demise when he wildly swung a chair into the rope that ricocheted back into his head. Scott then dropped him for the 1-2-3. With the pin, Scott also won on the final score card 4.59 - 4.21." |
14 | today 08:38 | bigdaddyc369 wrote about Kazuchika Okada vs. Kota Ibushi: [8.0] "A PPV level match on live tv. Two of the best workers and it was good to see Ibushi finally back in the ring. Okada kept targeting the formerly injured neck of Ibushi throughout the match. The match wasn't super long and these guys could've kept going and given us more. This only gets me more hyped to see Omega and Okada clash at All In next weekend. Hopefully Kota Ibushi can stay healthy because when he is, he is one of the best in the world. Kenny Omega coming out for the save at the end was cool and a great way to end the show." |
15 | today 08:34 | Morbino45 wrote about AEW Dynamite #300 (02.07.2025): [] "What a way to celebrate an historic milestone... Easily one of the best Dynamites of the year. All the matches delivered big time and the main storylines couldn't be any hotter. The show kicked off with a very good angle between Moxley and Hangman; can't wait for their Texas Death. Hangman buckshotting Marina was SO satisfying. Mercedes vs. Mina was a great opening match; them ladies were fighting, good stuff. The four way match was good, some spots felt rushed but it was really entertaining. The post-match angle with JetSpeed is the only flaw in this episode: not a bad angle by any means, but it's the exact same angle they did with Hangman at the start of the show with Hurt Syndicate destroying JetSpeed and JetSpeed getting back up. Bucks/Takeshita vs. Bandido/Paragon was awesome, a prime PWG-style trios match. The stipulation for Bucks vs. Ospreay/Swerve is actually a very compelling one and makes the match really unpredictable. Swerve/Ospreay vs. LFI was solid. Okada vs. Ibushi isn't as good as some of their most memorable clashes, but it was still a fantastic match. One of the best TV main events of the all year; Ibushi has come back in excellent shape and when Okada locks in, he's fucking amazing. Omega coming back to close the show was just the icing on the cake. 10/10 show, flawless. Two hours that flew by. I love this company." |

Here's the thing, you fucking idiots, it was SUPPOSED to piss you off. Didja notice how disgusted commentary was? Couldja hear the crowd boo in a single voice? Then could you hear them chant for Suzu? And oh, did you notice that it directly lead to Suzu turning the tide of the match and- to a huge roar from the crowd- immediately punishing the gross freak by stapling his junk four or five times? So take your phony narcissistic outrage and shove it up the orifice of your choice, and do it sideways. As for the match in total, this was better than it had any right to be and shows you how damned good Suzuki Suzu is (let's be honest, are you really going to credit some New Japan sock puppet for a quality match? ) It started really stupid, like it was going to be some McMahonian farce, but once it got rolling it wasn't just a solid hardcore match, it was an engaging back and forth, legit contest that left you unsure of the result to the very end. And oh by the way, I wonder what you attention starved faux-outraged losers would think if you learned the pussy spot was the WOMAN'S idea? I have no idea if it was or not, by OH-EM-GEE, your little heads would just explode, wouldn't they? And by the by-er way, is a routine bodyslam "sexual assault, " too? 19 | today 08:23 | cobratechnique wrote about CM Punk vs. John Cena: [4.0] "Godammit man I really wanted to fucking love this. The first stretch of this match was technically solid... but I saw the problem immediately. Cena has been booked into a corner where we know there's no chance of a match ending until some shenanigans start to take place, so when Cena hit his first attitude adjustment, my first thought was "man, these finishers genuinely mean nothing until interference happens", and it took me right out of being locked into the match. The entire opening portion felt exactly like what we praised their classic matches for, but it lacked all the heart, all the urgency, all the reasons to care. This was a soulless recreation of the great Cena v Punk matches of old that devolved into a fuckfest that would make 1998 Eric Bischoff blush." |

Even in under the span of 15 minutes, Okada & Ibushi prove that their last match was under the most unfortunate of circumstances, and they had plenty of fuel left in that tank. Ibushi didn't need to wow us with any of his vintage aerodynamics. Ibushi has been more of a monolithic striker, and it paired well with the hybrid striking and brute power that Okads utilizes in his matches. Both wrestlers catered their AEW styles to fit a narrative of a NJPW match. At times, it felt like I was watching a match from the G1 Climax. Excited for more Ibushi in AEW, as wrestling is better when he's active. ****1/4" |
21 | today 08:22 | cobratechnique wrote about Asuka vs. Jade Cargill: [5.0] "This was a rough match with parts of it that I enjoy. Jade Cargill is much improved from her TBS champion days, but she's still mighty green in terms of big matches, and this whole performance was somewhat off for her. Asuka seemed good here, I actually thought she and Jade played off each-other very well, but there was some undeniable sloppiness from Jade that definitely took this match down a bit, the finish was quite unfortunate." |
22 | today 08:22 | cobratechnique wrote about Karrion Kross vs. Sami Zayn: [4.0] "I was really hoping Sami could pull a Finn Balor and get a match out of Kross that I somewhat enjoy, but that sadly did not happen. I thought this match was very slow and plodding, Sami had some fun babyface fire throughout the match, but Kross' method of getting heat is completely uninspired and just not engaging to watch. Kross takes over decently early into this match, and because of that the match goes at his desired pace, which is just mind numbingly slow and draggy. If it wasn't for Sami being exciting in a few points throughout this match, the score would be much lower than it is." |
23 | today 08:21 | cobratechnique wrote about Jacob Fatu vs. Solo Sikoa: [3.0] "I am just completely over Bloodline style matches I think. There was so much walking and talking here, lots of spelling the drama out to me very blatantly instead of telling a story with the action. Can't say there was anything in this match that excited me or ever got me engaged, though I'll admit the outcome was unexpected, I thought the finish itself was overbooked and lame, which has sadly been a running theme with the Bloodline since they chose to kept it going after Mania 40." |
24 | today 08:19 | cobratechnique wrote about Raquel Rodriguez vs. Rhea Ripley: [7.0] "This was a surprisingly fun match. I have not been a fan of any of the work Raquel and Rhea have done together on the main roster, and I was expecting to very much feel the same about this, but they definitely made me eat some crow. This was a super physical match, with both women being able to showcase their powerhouse abilities in lots of fun ways. The action was back and forth and well paced, can't really say there was a dull moment, always something there to be engaged with. I don't think it was a particularly special match, this very well could've been on RAW, but it would be a standout on TV, and for a filler PPV like this I think it did its job quite nicely." |
25 | today 08:18 | cobratechnique wrote about Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton: [7.0] "really liked this match a lot, huge vibes from the insane crowd on this one, and both guys just did a really solid job. Cody was working heel for this one since Randy is absolutely beloved in Saudi as a legend, and that was really fun to see. There was some nice aggression between both guys as the story was clearly 2 friends who wish they were in another situation, but want to do whatever it takes in order to gain this victory. Orton's selling was fantastic throughout this match, telling a really engaging story with his surgically repaired back that lasted through the entire match. I thought the finish was a bit abrupt, but it still got a big reaction and it wasn't too big of a deal at the end of the day, but it is keeping this match at a 7 for me rather than an 8." |

I would have loved for this match to go a few minutes longer without the flash pin finish, given that they really seemed to find their rhythm together toward the end. Overall, their WK match did more for me, but this was still fairly entertaining. ***1/2" |

The match started out slow, but picked up and became very exciting near the end with an appearance from Murder Ibushi and a really sick top rope driver. This was the best Ibushi has looked since his injury four years ago. He really looked in great shape. I totally get the high 10 ratings, but me personally, I can't go that high. Pretty entertaining throughout, but I thought the interference from Perez was unnecessary. I couldn't help but notice the table over the turnbuckle in the final spot had one side's legs down, and the other up. Maybe they intended it that way, but it seems unbalanced. I legit wondered what was going to happen there and couldn't help but notice Charles Robinson having to steady one side. At least it ended safely. It was probably hot and uncomfortable in those full bodysuits. Rhea's designers managed to make hers look like a latex bondage suit despite the Saudi decency standards. I was surprised at the crowd's profane chants. Typical wrestling fare "holy s--t, f--- John Cena, " but probably not typical for Riyadh. It was a much hotter crowd with much less milling around than we usually see at the Saudi shows." |

Orton and Cody are good in ring workers and Orton did a great job selling the hurt back. I was really surprised how much the Saudi crowd seemed to prefer Randy over Cody. It's interesting how they set up Orton hesitating to hurt Cody and Cody not hesitating to do the same. I'm not sure where Cody played dirty or whatever, but Cole said it like they intentionally put it out there. Foreshadowing a Cody heel turn? Cody gets the belt back from Cena at SummerSlam by turning heel. Cena turns face and gets the belt back from Cody by the end of the year. Once again a face, he gives the belt up instead of retiring with it, thereby returning to his "hustle, loyalty, respect" motto. Just a thought." |

Some brief background: CM Punk is the gag gift that keeps on getting regifted, one of the biggest continuing scams in wrestling history, whilst Kojima is a guy who wasn't even that great at his pinnacle, but certainly better than the Jack-(that is, Phil)-in-a-box that keeps popping up giggling on his little spring. What these two dangerously obsolete recalled cans of chow brought in this match was nothing more than a tepid, torpid television match- and maybe a little less. Two guys who can't do much more than go through motions, going through motions. I suppose it'd be fine on a New Japan undercard in Ibaraki or free AEW television, but on what's allegedly a major PPV? This single moment established him as a credible, exciting, and highly athletic underdog, showing that anyone could win on any given night. He was a pioneer for smaller, quicker wrestlers in an era dominated by giants. Syxx in the nWo: His move to WCW saw him join the groundbreaking New World Order as Syxx. He brought his high-flying, fast-paced style to the faction, adding a dynamic in-ring element to their rebellious attitude. Being a key member of such a revolutionary group solidified his place in wrestling history. X-Pac in D-Generation X: Perhaps his most iconic role was as X-Pac in D-Generation X. Felt like it just gone going when it ended rather abruptly. Felt like a match to get some bigger stars on the card but didn't really fit with the Monday Magic "press the random button" charm ***" |

An opener, yes, forgettable but well done, a midcard match that lived up to expectations, and a main event with a great story, perhaps not the best exhibition, but with great use of storytelling (though not so much the stipulation). In terms of promos, there's nothing noteworthy, neither good nor bad. Perhaps Humberto's promo is somewhat unnecessary because it doesn't serve any purpose." |
